Communication Consent: By checking the box below, you provide permission for the Surrey Urban Farmers Market to contact you regarding your application, market season updates, billing, and our vendor newsletter.

FEES AT A GLANCE

  • Regular vendors application fee = $25.00
  • Only regular approved vendors have a seasonal membership fee of $40.00
  • Each 10'x10' stall = $30/market
  • Food Carts 10' or less is $30/market
    • Food Carts over 10' are categorized as trailers.
  • Food Truck/Trailer up to 20' = $50/market
  • Community groups / Non-Profits stall space is sponsored by our market.

Equipment Rental Fees:

  • Tents = $20 each/market
  • Tables = $10 each/market
  • Community & Non-Profit groups -  Equipment usage is sponsored to by our market.
  • We are not renting generators this year

** We have on-site washrooms and lots of on-site parking but we do not have electricity or running water available into the market area.

Primary Vendor Category

Choose the ONE category that best describes your business overall.
If you sell multiple types of products, select the category that represents your main focus.

Examples:

  • A coffee vendor who also sells muffins → Beverages is primary
  • A baker who also sells granola → Baked Goods is primary

Fraser Health Requirements – Ready-to-Eat Food Vendors

The following items are required by Fraser Health for all ready to eat food vendors and the mobile food vendors (Food Truck / Trailer / Cart). Please complete all fields below.

Quick Notes – Temporary Food Premises (TFP) Permit

  • Required for vendors operating fewer than 14 days per year at the same location or event.
  • Most farmers’ market vendors who are not operating a full mobile unit (truck/trailer/cart) fall under this category.
  • Application must be submitted to Fraser Health at least 14 days before the event
  • Note that sometimes it takes longer for the permit application to get processed -- so get your permit request in ASAP!  This will give you time to add or modify anything requested by the EHO so that the process can get completed before your first market date.
  • Use this form if you are preparing, sampling, or serving ready-to-eat foods on site.

Permits are required for selling alcohol at a BC Farmers’ Market.

Vendors must already be a licensed BC liquor manufacturer.
This includes: Wineries, Breweries, Distilleries, Cideries, and Meaderies.

BC liquor manufacturers who want to sample and sell packaged alcohol at a farmers’ market must hold a valid liquor manufacturing licence with an on‑site store endorsement and must obtain a Market Authorization from the Liquor and Cannabis Regulation Branch (LCRB). These are the only permits required for sampling and off‑site sales at a BC farmers’ market.

Vendors must apply for a Market Authorization through the LCRB.

  • Receive approval before attending your first market.
  • Post the authorization at their booth during every market day.

This authorization covers:
- Offering samples.
- Selling packaged alcohol for off‑site consumption.

Pet Products


Vendor liability insurance is required for all vendors.
Food trucks/carts & trailers a minimum of 5 million liability.
Your certificate must name “Surrey Urban Farmers Market Association” and “City of Surrey” as additional insured.

Please submit insurance certificate with your application but if you don't have it yet, it must be submitted two weeks before your first market date. 

Equipment Request


All vendors are required to bring a standard 10'x10' tent with 25lb secured weights per leg for each 10x10 stall space booked.

***Select umbrellas are allowed with pre-approval by the Market Manager.

Poor tent quality and/or appearance is a concern and can be refused on-site. If no tents are available for rent, you will have to leave. If you are unsure that your tent is in good enough condition, please contact the Market Manager well before your market date to discuss options.

Equipment is booked on a first‑come, first approved basis. Availability will be confirmed once your application and market dates are approved. Rentals are billed with vendor fees.

 

Community Groups / Non‑profits:
If you need to borrow equipment, please select the items you require AND check the Community Group / Non‑profit box.  We’ll review your request and confirm what we’re able to provide.

Equipment rentals and loan items are limited.

Application Fee

An application fee for regular vendors is required to review your application. The application fee is non-refundable. 

The exception: fee is waived for youth, community groups, non-profits, and entertainment applicants.

E-Transfer Instructions:
Please send your $25.00 application fee to info@surreymarket.org.
Important: Include your Business Name in the e-transfer memo notes so we can match it to your application.
Fee Waived:
As a Youth, Community Group, or Non-Profit applicant, your $25 application fee is waived. You may proceed to the submitting your application!
